Housing Crisis Support

The Basic Needs Center works with community agencies and organizations to refer students who are in need of housing support and/or a housing crisis. 

Abode operates in the South Napa Shelter and the South Napa Day Center. Services available there during the day include: showers, mail delivery, laundry, lunch, medical clinic, social services and housing navigation. 

Voices Napa (for youth ages 16-24) VOICES’ mission is to empower underserved youth, ages 16-24, by utilizing holistic services throughout their transition from systems of care, while building a loving community and establishing a solid foundation for a healthy future. 

NEWS Domestic Violence and Sexual Abuse Services has a dedicated group of staff and volunteer domestic violence and sexual assault counselors who provide direct client services and shelter 24 hours a day/7 days a week.

utility assistance programs & Legal support

LIHEAP stands for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program; this program helps low-income people pay the cost of heating and cooling their homes.

The California Alternate Rates for Energy (CARE) program is a monthly discount of 20 percent or more on gas and electricity. See if you qualify based on: Your income, or your enrollment in one of the qualifying public assistance programs.

Family Electric Rate Assistance Program (FERA): Families whose household income slightly exceeds the CARE allowances will qualify to receive FERA discounts, which bills applies a 18% discount on their electricity bill. See the income limits and call your electric utility if your family qualifies.  

Season of Sharing in Napa County Provides temporary financial assistance to individuals and families in crisis to pay for housing and emergency needs that cannot be met through other resources.
