About

The Office of Public Affairs & Communications (OPAC) leads strategic communications for Napa Valley College. OPAC serves as both an extension of the Office of the President, and as a promotional partner to the many departments and programs at Napa Valley College.  


OPAC leverages digital marketing, media outreach, strategic messaging, and advertising to amplify Napa Valley College’s mission, vision, and values—ensuring consistent, compelling communication across platforms. 


The team also oversees communication during emergency situations, ensuring clear and timely contact with the campus and broader community. 


OPAC’s areas of responsibility include: website, social media, student newsletter, digital promotional tools, graphic design support, messaging, internal communications, advertising, media relations, and more.

Meet Our Team

  • Jenna Sanders

    Director, Public Affairs & Communications/PIO

My role oversees communication efforts that represent Napa Valley College and the priorities of the District. This spans communication to our students, staff, and Napa Valley community. I came to this role with 10+ years of experience in public relations, marketing, and communications with specific focus on educational equity, gender and racial justice, and community organizing.

  • Alexis Jade Crisostomo

    Administrative Assistant, OPAC

My role supports our team’s scheduling, supply ordering, budgetary tracking, and project-initiation efforts. I serve as a friendly face in the front of our office and be reached for any OPAC-related questions. I come from a background in equity-based, culturally-conscious non-profit work with an emphasis on community wellness that inspires my work in higher education.

  • Cynthia León 

    Digital Marketing & Communications Specialist 

My role supports Napa Valley College’s digital content and communication initiatives, helping share clear, accessible information with our students and campus community. I bring experience in public affairs, digital communications, and design, with previous roles supporting civic agencies, nonprofits, and education-focused organizations across California. I am passionate about using storytelling and design to elevate community voices and strengthen public engagement.

Event Calendar and Timeline. What is your promotion deadline? Have you submitted your event to our NVC Calendar of Events? It is important for all NVC related events to be on this calendar so our campus community can begin using it as a master calendar for NVC events and happenings.

To ensure we are tracking all requests acuratly it is important that you submit your official request forms with enough time for our team to address your needs before your marketing deadline.
