WHAT IS NEXTUP?
NextUp is an academic support program committed to advocacy, providing personal growth, and educational and economic support for our diverse foster youth population. NextUp is dedicated to student academic success, emotional support, and empowering participating current or former foster youth to be successful in their educational journey at Napa Valley College.
Eligible NextUp students are automatically enrolled into the EOPS program and are eligible for all services provided by each program.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- Be enrolled at Napa Valley College
- Submit a NextUp or EOPS application
- Be a current or former foster youth whose dependency or wardship was established or continued by the court on or after the youth's 13th birthday.
- Provide official verification letter
- Be under 26 years of age before July 1st of the academic year
