  • Completed applications will be randomly selected for a maximum class of 40 total students.
    • Mailed applications can be any form of mail, and date cannot be prior to or after the stated time frame

  • A Completed Application Includes:
    • Official copy of transcripts from every college/university that has been attended (unless completed classes here at Napa Valley College) to include the prerequisites.
    •  Prerequisite courses must be completed by the time of application, or the application will be considered incomplete. No "in progress" classes will be accepted.
      • Human Anatomy (minimum of 4 units and grade of "C" or better)
      • Human Physiology (minimum of 4 units and grade of "C" or better) 
      • Microbiology (minimum of 4 units and grade of "C" or better)
      • PSYC 125- Human Growth & Development (minimum of 3 units and grade of "C" or better)
      • Reading and Comprehension (minimum of 3 units and grade of "C" or better)
      • SPCOM 124- Career Communications or equivalent (with a grade of "C" or better)
    • Official copy of High School transcripts or diploma or GED or college transcripts showing completion of an AS/AA degree or higher. Any non-U.S. transcripts  will require an international evaluation.
    • Test of Essential Academic Skills (New TEAS ONLY) with a score of 62% or greater. View the new TEAS policy. Test scores must be available, through ATI, by June 21, 2024.
    • Hepatitis B Surface Antibody, MMR, and Varicella Titers (blood work) AND proof of complete COVID Vaccination (including yearly booster). Ok to email to cmiller@napavalley.edu prior to application submission. If you choose to submit screenshots, they MUST have your name, medical source, result, and date of result on each screenshot. IF titers are negative, please provide proof of boosters/shots so we know you are in the process of obtaining immunity.  What to do if you have a Negative Titer.
    • Eligibility to enter the Nursing Program is determined by meeting admission requirements as above and meeting the California Community College Chancellor's Office Formula with a score of 70% or better.  This "composite score" includes a combination of: (a) overall college GPA, (b) English GPA (All English Classes with letter grades), (c) core Biology (Anatomy, Physiology & Microbiology) GPA & (d) core Biology course repetition(s). You can access the Chancellor's website at www.cccco.edu for more information. Please note that Napa Valley College will calculate the score with each application during review (not before).
