KNOW YOUR BENEFITS: Employee benefits are summarized above. The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) 2010HR3590, or Affordable Care Act (ACA) for short, is the health care reform law in America and is often called by its nickname "Obamacare."

The Individual Mandate requires most Americans to have "minimum essential coverage" health insurance or pay a penalty when they file their federal income tax return. If you don't have health insurace through a job, Medicaid, the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP), or another source that provides coverage, the Health Insurance Marketplace can help you get covered. Please contact the Department of Human Resources to find out if you are eligible for an employer sponsored health plan or visit www.healthcare.gov or www.coveredca.com to learn more about purchasing a plan from the health exchange.
