Christine Pruitt and María Villagómez Receive Certificates in Online Teaching & Design

Christine Pruitt, English instructor and learning outcomes coordinator, and María Villagómez, senior dean, language arts, library, social sciences, distance education recently participated in cohort-based professional development in an online environment to master the knowledge of effective universal online course design that meets the learning needs of diverse students.

Former Football Star Rodney Webster Provides Academic and Athletic Support for NVC

Before he became a star tailback at 5-foot-10, 185 pounds for Boise State, twice running for over 1,000 yards and earning All-Big Sky Conference honors during the 1981 and 1983 seasons, Rodney Webster had to figure out a way to get his academics in order and to also find a way to get more playing time.

At the July 9 Board of Trustees meeting, the Board approved the Five-Year Capital Outlay Construction Plan and District Order of Priority as required each year by the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office.

NVC Celebrates Pride Month

Kyler Thompson, a student at NVC, president of the LGBT Club and a student worker in the Office of Student Life, lead the way for the rainbow flag to be raised on campus in honor of LGBTQ Pride Month in June. The rainbow flag is a symbol of LGBTQ social movements and the colors reflect the diversity of the LGBTQ community.
