WebAdvisor to MyNVC Transition
Napa Valley College is in the process of transitioning the online user experience from WebAdvisor to MyNVC Self-Service. Currently, students access these modules through the WebAdvisor main page. As of the week of May 10, 2021 student access will shift from WebAdvisor to Self-Service directly. During this transition, faculty and staff will still use the WebAdvisor link.
NVC men’s golf team continues its winning ways
The Napa Valley College men’s golf team continued its winning ways, picking up dual-match victories on Wednesday over San Jose City College and on Thursday over San Joaquin Delta College.
NVC Baseball Sweeps Yuba College
The Napa Valley College baseball team extended its winning streak to five in a row as the Storm swept a Bay Valley Conference series from Yuba College of Marysville last week, winning the three games with a high-scoring offensive attack.
Maria Villagomez Named 2021 Administrative/Confidential Employee of the Year
The Administrative Senate of Napa Valley College has announced Maria Villagomez, senior dean, language arts and developmental studies, library and social sciences, has been selected by her peers as the 2020-21 Administrative/Confidential Employee of the Year. She will be formally recognized at the May 13, 2021 Board of Trustees Meeting.
Three NVC Faculty Receive 2021 McPherson Award
From his vision and institutional leadership to his support of scholarships and encouragement for individual students, Napa Valley College Founding President Dr. Harry McPherson touched many lives. Each year, Napa Valley College awards the McPherson Distinguished Teaching Award to faculty members who are nominated for the honor by their peers, students, or community members for their commitment to excellence in education.
