Professor Ann Gross reflects on 32 years at NVC
The year Ann Gross started teaching parti-time at NVC, in 1988, British ski jumper Eddie the Eagle was soaring through the air at the Calgary Olympics, and Cher won the Oscar for best actress in Moonstruck.

Board of Trustees – May 2020
At the May 14 Board of Trustees meeting, the Board unanimously approved the contract for Dr. Sara Parker to join Napa Valley College as our Assistant Superintendent/Vice President, Academic Affairs, effective July 1, 2020.
Napa Valley College Celebrates Transfer Students at Virtual Celebration
More than 90 people participated in Napa Valley College’s 13th annual Transfer Celebration on May 14, 2020. The virtual event, organized by the Transfer Center, which is part of Student Affairs, celebrated Napa Valley College students’ successful completion of their transfer path and acceptance to four-year institutions.
Lisa Yanover and Sally Baldwin Named 2020 McPherson Award Winners
From his vision and institutional leadership to his support of scholarships and encouragement for individual students, Napa Valley College Founding President Dr. Harry McPherson touched many lives. Each year, Napa Valley College awards the McPherson Distinguished Teaching Award to faculty members who are nominated for the honor by their peers, students, or community members for their commitment to excellence in education.
