Napa Valley College Performing Arts Announces A Safe Return to In-Person Performances

Napa Valley College (NVC) Performing Arts will present a season of five in-person performances this fall including productions of “All Together Now,” “A Charlie Brown Christmas” and “Elf Jr.,” as well as college choral and jazz ensemble concerts.

Wine Spectator Scholarship Foundation Donates Record $10 Million to Napa Valley College

The Wine Spectator Scholarship Foundation is donating a record $10 million to Napa Valley College (NVC). The gift will support the construction and expansion of NVC’s Viticulture, Wine and Technology (VWT) program teaching spaces, which will be named the Wine Spectator Wine Education Complex at Napa Valley College. The announcement was made by Napa Valley College Foundation Executive Director Jessica Thomason.

Napa Valley College Celebrates National HSI Week September 13-19

Napa Valley College, along with Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs) across the country are being recognized this week by President Biden, during National Hispanic-Serving Institutions Week, before the start of LatinX Heritage Month being celebrated September 15-October 15.

Board Meeting: September 2021

At the September 9 Board of Trustees meeting, the board recognized newly tenured faculty, and approved the 2019-2020 audit and 2021-2022 budget. The Board also approved agreements and contracts relating to off-campus internships and purchases for the NVC Welding program. They also heard updates on the CEO search, Emergency Operations Plan, COVID-19, and more.

Celebrating Our Newly-Tenured Faculty Fall 2021

At the September 9, 2021 Board of Trustees meeting, the Board honored nine faculty members who successfully completed their evaluation in spring 2021 and have achieved tenured status as of fall 2021. Dr. Doug Marriott, senior dean, career education & workforce development; Bob Van Der Velde, senior dean, arts & sciences; Bob Harris, senior dean, health & safety; Dr. Alejandro Guerrero, interim senior dean, counseling services and student success, introduced the faculty. Congratulations to Nicole Carrier, Tyler Downie, Ricardo Guzman, Jaime Huston-Sylvester, May Jong, Ida Logan, Eric Martinez, Claudette Shatto and Lauren Winczewski.
