Napa Valley College Chorale Wants Your Smile
COVID-19 has drastically affected performing arts all over the world. At Napa Valley College, we are harnessing the available technology as best we can to bridge the gap the pandemic has created between performers.
Dr. Christina Howell, coordinator of music/director of vocal studies is working with the NVC Chorale to rehearse “I Smile” by Kirk Franklin, a song about how even when times are tough, we can still smile through it and keep moving forward. In that vein, we are soliciting photos of smiles. The cheesiest, the silliest, the most handsome, the most toothless, the slyest, the sweetest, the craziest, the most jack-o-lantern-like – or whatever – smile you can come up with. Photos will. be included in a slideshow to go along with our virtual performance to demonstrate how the Napa Valley College community is keeping our heads up in this difficult time.

If you’re willing to share your smile, here’s what to do:
- Take a candid photo
- Professional photographs are nice, but they don’t really communicate what we are after.
- Either a selfie or a photo that someone else captures would be fine.
- Make sure the photo is a JPEG
- Send your picture to gridchoir@napavalley.edu by November 13, 2020
Thank you for considering being a part of our Fall 2020 project. We’re all looking forward to including your smile!
