Kyler Thompson, a student at NVC, president of the LGBT Club and a student worker in the Office of Student Life, lead the way for the rainbow flag to be raised on campus in honor of LGBTQ Pride Month in June. The rainbow flag is a symbol of LGBTQ social movements and the colors reflect the diversity of the LGBTQ community.

It is inexcusable, and intolerable that such actions were committed by those sworn to keep the peace. We write you today to make clear our perspectives, feelings, and commitment to contribute to the healing so desperately needed to help us move forward.
Napa Valley College EOPS and CalWORKs hosted a drive-thru graduation celebration on May 27. Graduates who participated – 28 of the 50 students graduating this year – received a NVC cap and gown, medallion, certificate of completion, snacks, and a congratulation card signed by EOPS staff. During the drive-thru, students and their families were greeted and cheered by EOPS and financial aid staff, who work with about 300 students each year.
