Open Auditions for William Shakespeare's Pericles
Napa Valley Conservatory Theater Spring 2016 Touring Production
Napa, Calif. (December 18, 2015) – Auditions for the spring 2016 touring production of William Shakespeare's Pericles are Wednesday, January 20 and Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 3 p.m. in the Actors' Lab, Room 137 of the Napa Valley College Performing Arts Center. Directed by Professor Jennifer King, this enchanting masterpiece captures the hearts of audiences young and old. The brave Pericles - pursued by an evil king – travels through the ancient world to join old friends, meet new enemies, discover true love, and finally find happily-ever-after as he reunites with the family he believed to be lost. Follow one of the world's most remarkable heroes on his journey in Pericles! This production will open at the Performing Arts Center on April 8 and tour to Napa schools during March and April.
Those auditioning are asked to prepare a one-minute Shakespeare monologue or read from the script and will be seen on a first come, first served basis. Rehearsals begin in late January 2016. For questions, contact Jennifer King at firstname.lastname@example.org.
