Napa Valley College Main Campus in Napa Remains Open for Classes as Scheduled
Evening Classes at Upper Valley Campus in St. Helena Canceled
Napa, Calif. (December 11, 2014, 1:15pm ) – After consultation with Napa Valley College Academic Senate leadership and the college president, and in light of the subsiding storm conditions as of 1pm today, the college has made the decision to keep the main campus in Napa open and continue classes scheduled as planned. Evening classes at the Upper Valley Campus in St. Helena have been cancelled and the UVC campus will be closed as of 5pm today. The McCarthy Library at the main campus in Napa will remain open until The McCarthy Library will remain open until 8pm tonight and the Visual Arts Department Mac Lab has closed as of earlier this morning because of rain damage. All classes scheduled in the Mac Lab for the rest of today have been cancelled.
Weather and road conditions may impact the ability of students and faculty to access the main campus in Napa and we ask that individual instructors contact their division chair or dean and the Office of Instruction (707-256-7450) should they be unable to safely get to campus and hold classes.
College administration will continue to monitor the weather and road conditions and will keep the public updated should there be any changes. Tonight's regular monthly Board of Trustee meeting will begin at 4:30pm as scheduled.
