NAPA VALLEY COLLEGE WELCOMES MARTENSON, IVERSON TO BOARD OF TRUSTEES
Ceremonial swearing-in of new and returning trustees set for December 11 meeting
Napa, Calif. (December 3, 2014) – The Napa Valley College Board of Trustees will welcome two newly elected members at its regular monthly meeting on Thursday, December 11, 2014, at 4:30 p.m. in the Board Room in the McPherson Administration Building #1500 on the main Napa campus, 2277 Napa-Vallejo Highway, Napa.
E. Amy Martenson was elected to represent Area 2, in the City of Napa, winning 58.26% of the vote. She assumes the seat of Bruce Ketron. "I am excited to join the Napa Valley College Board of Trustees and thank the voters in Area 2 for their support," said Ms. Martenson.
William "Kyle" Iverson was elected to represent Area 4, which covers the eastern portion of the Napa Valley surrounding the City of Napa and north to Lake Berryessa. He succeeds Bill Blair, who did not seek reelection.
"Napa Valley College is an invaluable community resource serving thousands in our community. It is an honor to be elected to its governing board," stated Mr. Iverson.
Trustees Michael Baldini and Mary Ann Mancuso will also be sworn in for new terms, representing Area 5 (American Canyon) and Area 3 (parts of North and West Napa), respectively. Their seats were not contested.
"We welcome the new and returning board members and look forward to accomplishing the goals the board has set to ensure that the college and its students will thrive," said NVC President/Superintendent Ron Kraft.
