"I LOVE NVC" CAMPAIGN LAUNCHES
Community Members Featured in Enrollment Outreach
Napa, Calif. (October 22, 2014) — Featuring the recognizable and familiar faces of friends and neighbors across Napa County, Napa Valley College launched its "I LOVE NVC" enrollment campaign this week in anticipation of the start of the registration period for the spring 2015 semester.
Current Napa Valley College students and alumni alike were invited to participate in the campaign to celebrate the college and its inspiring legacy of offering high quality, affordable educational and work-force training opportunities for all.
In addition to featuring dozens of recognizable Napa Valley faces, the campaign shares moving stories of NVC’s role in helping students of all interests and walks of life achieve their dreams. Stories are captured in postcard mailings and featured on the www.ilovenvc.com website which is also accessible directly from the college’s homepage at www.napavalley.edu.
From grapegrowers to dentists, chefs to peace officers, community members who began their careers in the classrooms at Napa Valley College speak candidly about leveraging our community college’s out-standing offerings as a launchpad for dreams.
"I went to NVC expecting to get an affordable education," said native of Napa, Natalie Hurley. "But what I didn’t expect was to fall in love with the youthful, impassioned spirit of the place." A graduate of NVC and UC Berkeley, Natalie has her sights set on becoming an international ambassador.
President of Moulds Family Vineyards, Steve Moulds, and his wife, Betsy, have NVC to thank for the success of the Cabernet vineyard they manage and farm. NVC students from 2003-2005, this dynamic duo attribute the enormous success of their business to NVC instructor Dr. Steve Krebs and the NVC Viticulture & Winery Technology program. "NVC not only gave us the basic tools to be successful grapegrowers but connected us to our community in ways that no other college could," shares Steve Moulds, who currently serves as the President of the Napa Valley Grapegrowers.
Over the next year the "I Love NVC" campaign will highlight stories of some of Napa’s most active and beloved community members — students, alumni, veterans, faculty, and staff of Napa Valley College.
Members of the general public are invited to share their story by visiting www.ilovenvc.com and are invited to be a part of the telling of the vibrant history of the people who make Napa Valley College and Napa Valley something to love.
