Food & Children’s Gift Drives at Napa Valley College
NVC Cares 2013
Donations accepted on campuses in Napa & St. Helena through December 12, 2013

December 2, 2013 (Napa, California) –The staff and students of Napa Valley College ask for your support of several campus organized holiday drives benefiting the less fortunate of Napa County and NVC student families in need.  Donations from the general public and campus community are being accepted now through December 12, 2013:

  • 24rd Annual Holiday Food Drive: non-perishable, nutritious food items and diapers accepted at multiple sites on the NVC Main Campus at 2277 Napa-Vallejo Highway and NVC’s Upper Valley Campus at Pope and College in St. Helena.
  • NVC Child Development Center & Salvation Army Angel Tree: community members are asked to select a gift tag from the Angel Tree located in the NVC McCarthy Library Lobby on which a child in need (age 1-6 years) enrolled in NVC’s Child Development Center or a child connected to the Napa Salvation Army has made a gift request; purchase the gift on the tag (requested value of $20); and then drop off the unwrapped gift along with the tag to the ASNVC Office (Rm. 1342 in the 1300 Student Services Building) by Thursday December 12th.  ASNVC student volunteers will distribute the donated gifts to the Child Development Center during finals week.
  • NVC Student Veterans Club Toys for Tots Drive: new, unwrapped toys for children ages 2-17 to be distributed by the Marines Foundation’s Toys for Tots program. Drop-off in the NVC Veterans Resource Center (1200 Building, next to Little Theater).

  • Community members are asked to participate in these drives by stopping by the main campus in Napa and the Upper Valley College campus in St. Helena with their donations.  All donations will be distributed directly to individuals, families, and NVC students in need and via Napa County non-profit agencies that support them such as the Salvation Army and the Napa Food Bank.
