RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE TO BE HELD AT NAPA VALLEY COLLEGE OCT. 2
Event is open to the public, with appointments available from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Napa, Calif. (Sept. 26, 2014) -- Napa Valley College will partner with the Napa County chapter of the American Cross Blood to host a blood drive on Thursday, October 2, from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Community Room of the McCarthy Library on the college’s main Napa campus, 2277 Napa-Vallejo Highway, Napa. Donors are needed and can register online or over the phone.
The public event will help Napa County and the greater North Bay Area boost preparedness for natural disasters like earthquakes by contributing to the local blood supply. Every two seconds someone in America gets a blood transfusion, and five million patients nationwide will need blood this year. The need is ongoing and the college is proud to host this event on its campus with help from the NVC Rotaract Club.
Donors can sign up for an appointment via the Red Cross web site by visiting redcrossblood.org and typing a Napa ZIP code into the box at the top right, or directly click http://rdcrss.org/1rnkb9K.
