What We Do:
Workforce Development training helps our economy thrive. Napa Valley College offers vital training and workforce development services to help people seeking assistance in finding a new job, as well as those who need skills to advance in their field. We provide a wide range of career resources for people who are looking for work, laid off or in need of retraining to re-enter a changing job market.
We also work with businesses; from the small business owner to major county employers. Our Small Business Development Center (SBDC) provides a full range of services, including individual business counseling and workshops. We help start-ups gain a foothold and flourishing business maintain a competitive edge.

Provides business owners and managers with information, training and expert individual consulting.
The SBDC helps small businesses with:
- Business planning
- Marketing strategies and planning
- Access to capital, including bank finance, SBA loans, asset financing, and venture capital
- Sales and government contracting
- Fianancial projections and budgeting
- Other planning and operational challenges

Northern California Career Pathways Alliance (NCCPA)
Supports the collaborative creation of educational pathways for high school and community college students that inspire them through rigorous, relevant academics and exposure to career paths while fostering economic and workforce development to benefit students, employers, and the community.
To support students for college, career and life, NCCPA's approach is threefold:
Model pathways: Create quality pathways between K-12 and Napa Valley College.
Involve industry: Bring together employers, online career coaches, community organizations and schools with a shared goal of helping people reach their goals and improving the workforce pipeline.
Connect partners: Develop educational and business partnerships to inform approaches and improve communications.
