System Downtime Planned (Nov. 10-12, 2018)
IT/Facilities staff are planning to replace significant components of our power redundancy for our primary MDF and Data Center systems in the 1500 building on Saturday, November 10, 2018 and continuing through Monday, November 12, 2018. This work will require a full shutdown of all our systems during a portion of this time so that power to the area can be disconnected and components replaced. We anticipate that the results of this project will give us significant stability improvement to our systems in handling power fluctuations and outages in the future.
As always, our intent and plan is to minimize impact as best as we are able on both students and staff with regard to maintaining our primary services and operations that will be affected by this work. We will be communicating additional information in multiple venues and audiences about what to expect during this maintenance/replacement period including what services will/won't be available, anticipated down times, and effective workaround options.
Due to a hardware degradation, users may have experienced issues with the service. We have, however, resolved the issue. We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused and we thank you for your patience.
