The Speech Lab

The Department of Communication Studies welcomes you to the Speech Lab! The Speech Lab, located on the second floor of the 1700 building in room 1769F, provides support for anyone looking to enhance their public speaking skills and presentations. The lab facilitators can help with everything from working on delivery skills and speech organization to creating effective PowerPoint presentations. The lab has technology that allows users to record and playback a practice presentation and create professional multimedia presentations. Appointments can be made by phone by calling (707) 256-7563. Writing Center

Students may make 30 minute appointments in the Writing Center, Building 800, Room 832, to get feedback on essays and other writing projects. Those wishing to combine such feedback with more intensive work on their writing skills and on specific areas of grammar, sentence structure, punctuation, a source citation can sign up for one of the center's many workshops. The Writing Center's day and evening hours are posted on the door of Room 832.
