Dr. Ronald Kraft has served as the ninth Superintendent/President of Napa Valley College since May of 2012.
Dr. Kraft has spent over 25 years in California community colleges and universities. His career includes tenured faculty positions in business and entrepreneurship; and administrative positions in instruction, workforce development, institutional advancement and research.
Previous appointments include President of the Southern California University of Health Sciences and President/CEO in the Washington State Community & Technical System. Dr. Kraft holds a bachelor's degree in business, a master's degree in education, and a Ph.D. in leadership.
Dr. Kraft serves on numerous local, state and national Boards in academia, the humanities and business.
Dr. Kraft is an author, speaker contributor to corporations, universities and colleges on organizational change and innovation strategies. A distinguished mentor-teacher, Dr. Kraft has been recognized for his lectures, books and writings on leadership, change management and entrepreneurship. He is an expert in innovation and the development of systems that link planning and people to create momentum for change.
